Live Theater on Cape Cod Near Eastham

Live Theater on Cape Cod is a summer ritual. Basically, watching a play is on par with riding the waves and eating lobster rolls. Plus, nothing beats an outrageous comedy to add to a stay at Town Crier. Not far from our Eastham motel's front door are two acclaimed live theater companies.

One is Wellfleet, one in Orleans. And, they both have fun and raucous offerings this season. 

Live Theater on Cape Cod 2022 Season

The Academy Playhouse

Offering comedies and musicals, this Orleans-based theater is just a 10 minute drive south. Luckily, still upcoming this season is Something Rotten. Notably, it's a Tony Award-winning musical. And, it is a complete hoot! It follows the hilarious story of the Bottom brothers. As they struggle to find success, hilarity ensures. The problem?  They must compete with their wildly popularity contemporary, Shakespeare. Get tickets to laugh out loud from August 25 through September 11.

Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theater

Located 15 minutes north in Wellfleet, this acclaimed company offers wide ranging productions. Additionally, through August 19 is an outrageous comedy set during the fall of the Roman Empire. Starting August 25 comes an irreverent comedy set during the French Revolution. Then, the theater presents an award-winning Harold Pinter play. Focusing on a love triable, this timeless play won the 1979 Olivier Award for Play of the Year. All shows are at 8:00 pm. Price ranges from $15-$40 depending on seat choice.
